Default Intake bolts THICK

Finally I bit the bullet and had some thick headed intake bolts made. Roy made these years ago but had been out of them for years due to the cost these days to make such items.

The heads are thicker than most originals but once we have them cadmium plated I believe they will really look nice on a engine.

Petehoovie,
These probably won't be sold on eBay.. We stock way too many things especially NOS and used to list it all and these were too expensive to make to have eBay take their cut from it.
.. They are making me the other lengths as we speak, then they have to be de-burred and cadmium plated so it will still be a month or so before they are ready. My selfish needs are the main reason I had them made.. All my cars have thin versions and I like opening the hood too see the thick ones.

Haha, great. Love the phone thing too.

Any chance you'll also be making those '32 L bolts and with the correct special, smaller OD castle nuts?

“L” bolts I won’t make as a hex bolt can be used to substitute. The 5/8”af slotted hex nuts I’m having quoted now but the cost and lack of sales may put a damper on me deciding to have those made.

Will those fit aftermarket 8BA heads?

As shown in the picture, those intake bolts look to be stainless. Would it be prohibitive to produce/manufacture them in stainless?...

These are not stainless as I will have them cadmium plated as original. I certainly could have made them from stainless but the ending cost goes up as well... these days it’s not cheap to produce anything in the USA, and these bolts are prime example of such.

Given that they will be plated I did not see the need in going with stainless, however I did have them quoted in stainless.

PS these will “likely” retail for $38 a complete set in cadmium plated. If I went with stainless they would have likely been $50 or so...

If I went overseas they could have been produced cheap, but I’m trying to support the American industry as best as possible.

Hi Michael. Super eye candy! Good on you.

No joke, I'm down for five sets as soon as they are done. ~$40 x 5 = $200. Done.

Send them to Rising Sun and bill them to me. He doesn't have any left from the engines he's ravaged.

I'd spring for the stainless if they were offered...
