'47 Super Deluxe Start-Up
I finally started up my '47 super deluxe. It had sat in storage since 1967 until I got it about 4 years ago. I am a very slow mover. I replaced the gas tank/lines, master cylinder/wheel cylinders/lines, hoses, spark plugs, oil & filter. Pulled the radiator and had it cleaned, and doused the cylinders through the plug holes.
After the garage cleared of white smoke, I could see the engine was purring like a kitten. No weird noises, ticking, knocking or banging. After doing the Ali shuffle, the waltz, and throwing in some James Brown moves, I finally collected myself..... I have asked a lot of silly questions, and I got lots of help from different folks on here. But, I do want thank all of you. For me, this was a big step forward in getting this car going down the road to have some fun with. |

Yes, post a pic or 2. Enjoy the car. Those are my favorite post war cars, next to my F-1.
