My New Favorite Pinup Girl
I know you '40 and '41 fellas have really petty trucks, but this '39 with a '38 car nose would be the belle of any ball!
I don't know anything about it other than it was sold through Mecum in 2010.

Re: My New Favorite Pinup Girl
I cannot beleive that front bolted on that great. I have a 38 car and the side panels and grille do not fit together that well. I think there was a lot of work that you are telling us about.

Re: My New Favorite Pinup Girl
Here is a couple of pics of my latest project.
1941 Ford car front end on a Ford F-1 cab. First one shows it in mock up form. Second shows some of the cuts needed to make the hood fit. This is going to be a period custom when I am finished. Torchie |

Re: My New Favorite Pinup Girl
Whoa! I wish I made that. Or bought it. Or stole it for that matter.
All I can claim is finding the photo. Here's the starter kit, though: https://albuquerque.craigslist.org/pts/4896520732.html

That's a smooth tasteful look. I think Henry would be envious.

Re: My New Favorite Pinup Girl
It actually looks good. If someone told me they were going to do that I would not have pictured it that nice.

Re: My New Favorite Pinup Girl
Very cool, nice job. I always liked the look of the '38 front sheet metal. I would love to take this truck to an Early Ford V-8 Club meet and tell them it is a one of one prototype from the Ford design studios. I hope you are going to install bumpers to protect those grill bars .

That is with out a doubt the best looking truck I've ever seen. Tell me there's a flathead UNDER THE HOOD.

Re: My New Favorite Pinup Girl
That is simply stunning!
There's one out there with 36 car front sheet on it, again looks like it came from the factory. And I love a 36, but in my eyes this beets it. Simply beautiful. Wish it was mine. Thanks for posting, Martin. |
