I've seen a guy buy the brush set for the long generator, then you can cut the brush at the notch to make two brushes. You will have to sand or file them to size so they slide easily in the powerhouse holders. Then the guy carefully drilled a small hole in the brush and tucked the wire from the old brush into the hole and secured it with a very small brass wood screw. I don't know where I put the brushes, or I'd take a picture and post it.
