With the clips off the distributor cap, the rotor spring pressure will lift it up slightly. If it doesn't, then the carbon in the center is likely too worn, and the cap should be replaced.
Those straps to the plugs should never need to be replaced, but if you do, then buy the bronze ones, as they have better spring action than the brass ones. |
