How Do I Edit a Thread Title?

I've done this before....thought it was in the "thread tools" tab while editing.

I go to the thread, click "thread tools" and there is no "edit Thread title" selection.

I scroll down to the end of the first thread and click "edit" then click "advanced settings" on the bottom of the pop-up. I can edit the post title, but it does not edit the thread title.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and I have two threads that will not let me edit my initial post. Thoughts?
