How about the rumble pan itself?

The initial hinges (probably used into late 1928 were steel forgings. These were later changed to malleable castings I believe. There were numerous changes to most if not all floor pans of the Ford bodied cars.

My vote, after some thought, would be the fan...... The question certainly is a good one to get you thinking!

The fan changed too! Late 31 went to a single thickness instead of the troublesome double thickness fans. Then again, I wouldn't run an original fan on a driver car with the availability of aluminum one piece fans.

not sure whats going to come out in the new JS but there are at least two screwdrivers, anyway the finish differed

at least three fans

,the horn conduit was fiber in the trucks
the 28-29s were plated,the 30-31s were stainless

there was a high compression head availible

tires were 21 in 28-29 and 19 in 30-31
some vehicles like the station wagon had 500/19s in 30-31

Puzzler for sure, then to get bashed for being specific about parts on the swapmeet when you put the year and or months it was used. It has not happened recently, but has happened more than once. Rod

I'm not saying they are, but what about the front brake push rod that moves the wedge, and the wedge itself. Are they different on the early 28 brake system?
