I never liked electronics either because I prefer something I can mechanically see. I had a new $15 Echlin condenser fail on me in 2014 and figured if I was going with unreliable parts I'd go with pertronix. Used their coil too. Just got back from a close to 2000 mile trip to the national meet. My gas milage is off some but it's not the points. Maybe the cap or carb. Need to investigate.
