Re: Make Your Own flathead Engine Stand
Now that is brilliant! I have Stumpy's but the engine is unbalanced fore and aft on the stand.

Re: Make Your Own flathead Engine Stand
Wow, there is a lot of work and engineering there. Can the crank be removed or installed with the setup?

Re: Make Your Own flathead Engine Stand
The engine stand is made from 2 habor freight stand bought from craigslist. The stand is design from original stand back in the day. Big circle in front lets you put the cam in or out.

Again, can you install the crankshaft assembly with the block on your stand?

Re: Make Your Own flathead Engine Stand
One I built. Was being used as a dolly in the picture. Plates bolt to exhaust ports and will spin 360*

Re: Make Your Own flathead Engine Stand
The lower priced HF 4 wheel stand works well as an engine storage dolly with a little rework.
