Getting started at last
I am abount to continue a journey I started almost 40 years ago. (I'm 54) As a kid I took apart a 36 fordor with trunk to have it painted. The car was all original except for headers and dual carbs. Long story short, painter got tired of project and it has set for all these years as you see in the picture. That is about to change. I plan a full resto-rod restoration. At this time in the planning stages I have two questions for your consideration. 1, Should I keep mechanical brakes or go juice? The car will keep its original motor setup. 2, I want to lower the front end a little. Can I keep the 36 wheels, go with juice brakes and still lower the front? I know simple questions for most of you but hey, after 40 years and its still not together that says something about my skills. But at least I still have it!
