None, you will actually gain torqie. The "A" heads have less volume and the 59 series engine has more cubes. The small amt removed for valve clearance shouldn't be a factor.

I have a set on an 8ba milled .040" measured CR is 7.2

Hummmmmmmmmmmm. I just put stock Mer heads on my 8BA (also Merc crank/pistons) I know I gained cubic inches but what did I gain or lose using Merc heads Vs. the 8ba?

Hummmmmmmmmmmm. I just put stock Mer heads on my 8BA (also Merc crank/pistons) I know I gained cubic inches but what did I gain or lose using Merc heads Vs. the 8ba?
