What is the best needle valve for Holley 94.
Rubber tip , brass tip or that disc type thing ?

I am hoping CharieNY will weigh in here.
In my opinion, the rubber tip needles tend to stick. At least that has been my experience.
That "disc type thing" you question... if that is a Groose Jet, I have had those stick closed.
Me? The good old "old fashioned" brass needle and seat can't be beat.

I also like the Groose valves in both the Ford and Stromberg's. G.M.

Rubber tipped float needles are often not "fuel proof", particularly if old stock. Since all gas now has some alcohol in it, brass is best.

This is the type I have had trouble with. Twice in fact - two different vehicles. Both times they had stuck in the closed position.
Me? I'd never use them although I realize a lot of guys have been very happy to.

I have never used that Groose Jet , now I have those Roto Disc valves in my 3x2 and one is leaking .
I´ll check it today why.

I bought three kits last year and they must have the roto disc, because they aren't the groose or the needle/seat. Disc in a cage type of affair. I have been having fuel starvations lately and hadn't thought about that disc.

That Daytona Float valve looks interesting.
I did check those Roto discs and all did leak 2 just a little and 1 little more.
I have had those maybe 8 years , but now I did change them for needle type.

English Stromberg 97s have a ball type valve. I have had good luck with them.
I do not know if they are a gross valve.

Where are you purchasing those all brass needles? All the ones I'm finding have the viton tip that I don't want.

Actually the seat is brass, and the needle is stainless steel. It's what came originally in at least the 94's. I use the originals since the don't really wear out (unless they look questionable). I have seen NOS ones on EBAY before. You might try Mike's Carburetor Parts or Charlie ny on the Ford Barn to get a steel needle.
