Default Emergency brake levers

Thanks for the previous comments on E. brake link. Now, I know the 91A 2103-2104 levers are for 39-45 and 51-A is for 46-48, according to the Green Bible, but WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE ??? They look identical in every respect. I'm stumped. I have one with no part number and can't figure what it goes to. Looks like all the others. There's gotta be some difference or there wouldn't be a different prefix, but what ???

I’m running the 91A on one side and the 51A on the other. Before installing them I compared them and other than the part number I saw no difference. So a couple theories are, after the war Ford may have changed suppliers and issued a new part number or possibly the 51A’s might have been produced for the war effort and the surplus was used from 45 to 48. Anyway I’ve run them with no issues for several years.

Hope this helps.

When Ford changed suppliers a suffix was changed. the basic part number stayed the same.

Thanks for the responses fellows. I thought I had entered the Twilight Zone or something.
