Anyone have any experience using the GPI Racing radiator as a stock replacement? They are aluminum and supposedly a direct replacement for the stock model a radiator. I think they are from china

Do some searches here. The price is probably attractive but some of these are made in China

A lot of people here swear by a Berg's, pricy though. FWIW

The price is great but it does not look like the original radiator. I agree that aluminum is better than brass for cooling.

I bought a Bergs and would by another one if I had to.

I looked at the listings, fits 28-31----there's got to be modifying needed, the hose fittings are for chevy engine---- the flathead radiator fits 32-37-- there are a lot of differences between those years-----though it does say check your measurements before ordering

OK, now that looks promising. If it works, it will save you $500 over Bergs.

They dont talk about the number of fins per in or cores. Bergs is 13 per inch and 3 cores.

Sorry I tried to look at the radiator on line and was sent an error message. I could not get to it.
Two thoughts come to mind though:
1) If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is not true.
2) You get what you pay for.

I am a skeptic.

I sorta' worry about ALUJIMUM radiators. At the car shows, it seems to be sort of a "FAD"??? Are they used in "modern" cars???

Nice price. Wish they would make for the Model T with correct hose fittings, not the hot rod style.

Yes, what Dave said. Sometimes it costs a lot of money trying to save money. I should know, as I've tried it enough times. LOL
You might end up buying this one, finding it's a mistake, then buying the right one.

I’ve got 19 years of hard driving on my Aluminum American Radiator with zero issues in my A powered roadster. I also have an A radiator in my avatar that was rodded out 15 years ago and never runs over 180 degrees. I have one of each and they both do their job.

After reading the Nigerian "English" on the description page. I would guess China is country of origin.

Items it seems are shipped from China despite saying the seller is in CA. Feedback is decent and buyers say seller does refund if there's a problem.

If we knew it would will fit perfectly it might be worth buying. Who's going to try first?

I expect that many have been returned. why not try to buy one of those that have been sent back. Since it might not work anyway why not go even cheaper so the loss won't be so great.

What has been the problem on the many that have been returned? Would be good to know if they stepped up and made them right.I have two of their replacement radiators in my Dodges with Cummins diesels in them.One is a plow truck and the other is a dump truck.They do cool much better than the originals that came in those trucks.Almost $600.each cheaper too than OEM.The radiator guy I use for equipment put me onto them. Another thing he told me was that comparing fins per inch on copper/brass radiators to fins per inch on aluminum is not an accurate way of comparing how well they cool.Those metals unload heat at completely different rates.I suspect if I run out of radiators I will be buying one of those.

Since there is or soon will be tariffs on Aluminum and products from China, I wonder how soon the price will go up?
