Ummm, this is a Ford forum. You might get better answers on a Buick forum.

Try over on the HAMB. you may have better luck there as these brakes are used on many hot rods

Or....You can continue-on RIGHT HERE! There are a FEW of us right here on FordBarn that ARE able to help without the 'lip service'. A few of us UNDERSTAND how 45-fin aluminum Buick drums figure-into the old Ford world. I have a pair of them myself doing duty with F-2 Bendix backing plates on my '40 coupe. THOSE shoes carry a different part number, though.....Part # TS TS33.

NAPA carries the Buick brake shoes under Part # TS TS197 for $21.99 each under their "Performer Brake Shoe" series. DD

Has blacktie55 changed user names?

I don't think there are many here that appreciate that tone.

If one wants to hang GM on their FORD, there are other forums that support that. Why not just jack the thing up and run a 350 and TURBO under it and get it over with?

No need for the condescending tone.

And NAPA for brake parts? Really?

Exactly. It is most likely SCRUBBY powered also.

If I had a 56 SCRUBBY gasser with an ECONOLINE straight axle, would I ask on a SCRUBBY forum as to the best FORD brakes?

The answer is to have the shoes shod in KEVLAR linings.

I see no harm/foul as it was answered politely.
