The inner holes do not overlap the A frames. Even though several pictures in this thread show bolts in the inner hole on A frames, these holes should be empty. They never left the factory with hardware in those holes on A frames.

So I started looking through pictures of when I first brought the ccpu home and was cleaning it up.

Lots of debris under the seat......but this is a picture of the rear of the cab after it was cleaned.

There is no bolt in the inner hole, nor are there any marks indicating one might have been there.....

I don't have a good picture of the drivers side, but I still have the old blocks in storage.....it'll be interesting to see what that potentially original rear block looked like..

All this has me thinking of the "progression" of these two cabs, the Closed Cab and the Open Cab.

In the beginning the Open Cab was only for the "A" chassis and the Closed Cabs were only for the "AA" chassis. Therefore the holes for the attachment of the bodies to either type of frame would be different. Fast forward to May/June 1928, when the Open Cab was adapted to the "AA" chassis and the Closed Cabs were adapted to the "A" chassis, the mounting holes within each cab, that is the rear mounting holes, were revised to fit either type of chassis.

My July 1928 Open Cab body does not have the frame mounting holes in the very rear corner of the body as do the Closed Cab as it is an early "transisition" body where the mounting holes were still within the right and left corner of the rear seat riser withn and under those oval holes as seen in the post above.

Question is then...do later Open Cab bodies have these holes as the Closed Cab bodies to attach to the chassis in the far right and left rear corners thus doing away with those holes within the corners of the rear seat riser where the oval holes are positioned or did they remain as such thru June 1930??

I went and found the old blocks.

The blocks that fit at the rear of the cab have only one hole....so only one bolt.

Pictures are of a reproduction set, my old set, and the rear cab blocks by themselves.
