Default Filter for Fuel Pump

Took my 1930 coupe, with a Stromberg 81, out for a test drive today. I think that I could feel some stumble at higher rpms so now I will follow what most say and install a fuel pump. I have chosen a Carter P4259 and a Holley 12-804 regulator. I understand that a filter should be used before the pump. I have a micro filter kit (Snyder's A-9156) installed in my sediment bowl. Is this sufficient or should I also add an inline filter?

Thanks,
Jerry

I would think your micro-filter would be adequate. There are low pressure pumps available that would not require a regulator. Edelbrock has one that pumps 2 to 3 1/2 lbs. NAPA might also have one?

I run a carter p60504 fuel pump on mine with a revolution electronics fuel pump controller on mine... Has worked perfect for 3+ years & lots safer with the controller.. Shuts pump off if engine stops.

Thanks Tudor.1! I looked into Revolution Electronics fuel pump controller. Just ordered a 6V version. Excellent customer service!
