Quick 30 pickup front fender question
The 30 pickup calls for the front fender to be mounted under the rubber pad of the radiator bracket in the recessed cross member. If I mount it this way it will bend the fender when I tighten the spring back down. Couldn't I mount the fender ON TOP of the radiator bracket with a washer and or another rubber pad. This way I wont crack my paint.

Re: Quick 30 pickup front fender question
The fender shouldn't touch the spring, with the other fender bolts going through the frame , that will tell you where it need's to be. I just test fit my coupe fenders and when I bolted the two bolts for the frame bracket the front side edge of the fenders just tuck under the bottom of the radiator shell. Hope this helps.

Re: Quick 30 pickup front fender question
The fender really doesn't mount there anyway. It just clears the radiator mounting bolt and spring. On a lot of old fenders people have notched that spot to sit a radiator straight down.Usually you have to slide one ear of the radiator under the fender, then spin the radiator until the other ear can clear.
