Default Terminal box wing nuts

Is anybody correctly reproducing the terminal box wing nuts? All I find are big clunky things that are bright brass plated.

Chris,

I did not know that the "battery box" took "wing nuts"???

I know the "Terminal Box" does...Maybe that is what you meant?

And no, I do not think anyone is reproducing them correctly.

I believe the original terminal box wing nuts were solid brass...the repros available now are made from zinc with brass plating.
I don't see anyone offering the solid brass wing nuts.

You are correct. I have a terminal box that came off my 30, the wing nuts are solid brass.

Yep, with the high cost of brass, that 10 grams of brass would bankrupt the company in China.

And you can bet it is all recycled brass from countries like yours and mine.

The Standards show brass throughout production, Die-cast zinc optional after May 1930.

The repop nuts are crudely made and larger than the originals. In short, they look like crap.
