Defective part/early 1928???
These are some pictures of a very early 1928 -or- defective 1928/29 spring shackle. There are NO holes for a cotter pin with a castellated nut. The writing has the fancy Ford script as well as "USA on it. Can anyone help identify this for me?? If this would help anyone to use, this is available as I am doing a Late 1931. [IMG][/IMG]

Re: Defective part/early 1928???
No pictures are present. It sounds like a later manufactured shackle. I think later Ford used some kind of locking nuts on shackles in the mid to late 30's verses cotter pins.
