Tuned in and in the calendar. Looking forward to the updates even though my drivers won't qualify for a concours event.

Vic,
What brand of lift do you have and what are the floor footprint dimensions? All the ones I have seen are something like 15 ft by 9 ft and I don't have the 9ft width space available due to all the other stuff in the garage.

Hi Steve, the brand of lift I have is; Direct-Lift, their phone number is: 866-347-5438. The interior width dimension between the post is approximately eight feet. My lift is portable (if you have three additional guys to help you move it), not secured to the floor. Hope this helps. Vic

I wish you every success dealing with the powers that be to make the show an annual event. As an aside wood bodied station wagons are always a hit at these events. Just sayin'... Bill

Bill, we fully intend to have the Cigar City Concours d'Elegance as annual event. We've made significant progress with every aspect of this type of event and we'd love to have some woodies on display. In that regard, a friend of my has a '47 Ford Sportsman that will be displayed on the Concourse at the inaugural event in November of 2018. Why not drive your Woody down to Tampa and join us. Vic

The Cigar City Concours d’Elegance, an event whose time has come…

I’ve been a resident of Tampa Bay for twenty-five years and an automobile enthusiast for longer than I can remember, but I’ve always had to leave the Bay Area when it came to the pursuit of my passion for rare and exquisite automobiles and the events that showcase them. That is just one of myriad reasons I decided to bring a world class automobile event to Tampa Bay.

From an historic standpoint, Tampa, (Ybor City in particular), has been referred to as the Cigar City since the late 1800’s, creating a rich culture that still thrives today, to say nothing of the international recognition enjoyed by Tampa Bay as one of the world’s premier vacation destinations. The inaugural Cigar City Concours d’Elegance will take place November 9th -11th, 2018 at Innisbrook Golf & Spa Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. The three-day event will kick off with a Meet & Greet Reception at the Packard restaurant on the grounds at Innisbrook. Saturday’s ‘Cars & Coffee event will feature rare and exotic sports and luxury vehicles from around the globe. Both antique and modern vehicles will be on display.

The overall theme of the Cigar City Concours d’Elegance is the ‘Transformation of Transportation’ from the early 1900’s to present day. Sunday’s Concours will feature Antique, Classic, and Special Interest Automobiles, prominently displayed on the picturesque 18th Fairway of the North Golf Course at Innisbrook. We are anticipating a field of approximately two hundred Classic Automobiles. Each year the event will showcase the ‘Mark of Distinction’, with the Lincoln, Zephyr and Continental being celebrated at the inaugural event. We are pleased to note that the weekend of November 10th & 11th includes Veterans Day and, as a salute to our Veterans, we will have a contingent of Military vehicles on display. As of this writing, we are still over a year away from the first Cigar City Concours d’Elegance and we will be adding features to the schedule of events as they come together. For more information please visit our website at: www,CigarCityConcours.com.

Thanks Dick, my imagination gets me in trouble quite a bit but, somehow I've always managed to get out of it relatively unscathed... Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Check us out at www.CigarCityConcours.com and, like us on FaceBook, I'd appreciate it.
