Model A Ignition switch Types
Did all Model As come with the pop out ignition switch or did they come with a turn key type with wires to the distributor? I realize the ignition wire is or should I say as I always see them exiting the junction box in armor.
Thanks Wayne |

I believe they were all pop outs. There were some variations but all were pop outs.

What flathead said. Confirmed by the Restoration guidelines; Check to see that the switch pops out when the key is turned on.

They were all pop outs! Most replacements showing up today by vendors are "look-alikes" that don't pop out or those that appear popped out but just turn on and off!
If you are into "points", there are folks who rebuild the original pop outs. But it ain't cheep! |
