Default Celebrating the 4th of July, Alaska style!!

Saw this on Hemming's on line Saturday morning and it made me laugh out loud. Because of lack of darkness, no fireworks, so residents of Glacier View,Alaska came up with their unique celebration. Maybe no Fords but some great videos.

Here's another video.

To me, the ultimate of stupidity. Do they at least clean up the mess they make?

Glad it's not old Ford's, that would be a shame. Perfect ending for all other makes and models : )

This event is a must see on your bucked list. They even have been permitted by the State of Alaska and they do go out there and clean up every piece of scrap and leave it all natural . The spectator area is way far away from the landing area . Great way to spend the 4th of July with the family.

So they clean it up good enough to get next year's permit, right?
Trash Alaska quick and let the good times roll.

Those cars are in better shape than the ones sold on CL in my neck of the woods.

Ford38V8 Yes they do . That is part of the permit. They drain all the fluids out of the vehicle as well before launch off.

With all the permits to have this event , the state is out there before and after to check that they have cleaned up the carnage. All the vehicles have had all their fluids removed as well.
