glass logo inside or outside?

I was wondering if the etched logo goes on the inside of the windshield or the outside. Anyone know? Thanks!

Originally in between the two glass panes, ...so now it is just pure option. We place them on the inside.

It may be possible to place the logo inside the glass, like original. 3D CO2 lasers are routinely used to etch images inside glass. Here's a short u-tube video. LINK
