High Compression Head
Can I switch to a higher compression head without making any other engine modifications?
And can anyone verify that this is a Snyder 5.5? Last edited by COOTER; 06-12-2013 at 12:26 PM. Reason: Add pic |

Re: High Compression Head
Pictured is the stock 4.22 head.
Snyder's 5.5 head has a heart shaped combustion chamber. |

Re: High Compression Head
If I could see the other side, I can tell if it is original but that is not the combustion chamber shape of the 5.5 head. The 6.0 head is kinda similar to that one in shape but the chamber roof is lower.
As for bolting a 5.5 to a stock engine, you should not need to make any modifications as long as the engine is mechanically sound beforehand. |

Re: High Compression Head
Thanks for the info. Someone's trying to pass this off as a HC head on craigslist.
