Default Vacuum line for Slant Window bodies?

Where is the best source of the vacuum line from the firewall to the wiper?

My originals all have issues here and there. I might be able to splice something together, but I do not consider that a a good fix if it can be avoided.

The catalogs only seem to sell a 36" length of metal tubing and you need way more to make the line work.

So is there a reasonable repro solution like a source for the correct line and bend my own?

Do I need to locate a good original?

My goal is not perfect points, but I would prefer using something that functions and appears reasonably 'correct'.

So what are the solutions?

Thanks!

NAPA auto parts, they have brake lines that are the right size. and I just bend my own to match an original I have.

We used 3/16 brake line. Napa sells the line in various lengths with inverted flare nuts attached, or they also sell it in bulk lengths of 25 ft. We bent out own by hand and were satisfied with the results. We also used 3/16 vacuum tubing to connect to the motor, and our sections of line.

I am not sure but, I think the ones sold will work. The metal line only goes to the top left of the windshield frame and the rubber line goes from there to the wiper motor. Mine has clips that hold it to the top of the frame and out of the way of the windshield from the metal tube to the motor.

James you are right on most Model A closed cars, But on the slant window cars the vacuum line goes from the fire wall all the way to the wiper motor and has a short vacuum hose that connect the two together.
