I'm not too keen about getting into the tool business, but I'll tell you what I will do. I can put together a set of drawings and instructions and send them to you if that will help you out. It's an easy build. You need a drill press, an 1-3/8 hole saw, a power metal band, and some type of welder. An air die grinder and a couple of carbide bits are helpful.
Let me know if you want to take a shot at building it and I can probably send the drawings within five or six days.
If the drawings work out for you, maybe they could be posted on the site for others to use.

I too would be interested in the drawings. My dizzy is stuck solid. Granted I have not tried heat yet as I don't want to set my engine on fire. But that would make life interesting...

Where is the best spot to tap a stuck dist. up-after I heat it up and cool it down a few times?

Right at the base of the distributor where it meets the block. Downward and from the side if possible.

The instructions for building the Y block distributor tool to remove uncooperative distributors are done.
It turned out to be a seven page Word document. I went a little heavy on the pictures and as my wife has told me a number of times, I’m never content to use one word when I can use three to do the same job. The file is 4,200 KB so it should fly without crashing.
Being new to the forum, I’m not familiar with the PM system, but for now if anyone wants a copy, PM me and I will see if I can figure out how to send you the Word doc.
If anyone knows of a better way to get these to members who might want them, I’d appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Hi there Don, I am most interested in the instructions for the tool. As I don't have enough posts, I cannot send you a PM, however my email address is [email protected]. Cheers, Al.
