6 volt to 12 volt converter
I have some signal lights and controller that work on 12 Volt (I believe they work on + or - ground). My car is 6V positive ground and I really want to leave it that way. I have found a digiten 6V to 12V convertor that I would like to use and wire up the signal lights completely separate from any of the original A wiring. Everything I have read so far says this works great and people have used it on old VW's, motorcycles, etc. Just wondering if anyone has done this and if it is a simple as it sounds. Thanks for any comments. Jim

Re: 6 volt to 12 volt converter
Thanks guys. Gonna order one. A bunch of them on Amazon. Any preference or where did you get yours. I am looking at the one from Droc that looks like it goes up to 36 watts

Re: 6 volt to 12 volt converter
the converters work just fine. However, it is such an easy setup to wire 6 volt signals, it seems like going a mile to save 10 steps. Having said that some of the kits sold are nothing but trouble/junk. Simple to make your own out of a swap meet strap on signal switch, a 6V flasher, and 4 bumper lights.
