Default Firewall mystery

I’m refreshing an older restoration of a ‘30 Victoria 190-A. And on the inside firewall directly behind the terminal box I find four 90-degree “L” brackets. Anybody know if these are original and if so, what they were for?

I think they are for cowl light wire routing.

Years ago, I have a vague memory of a small hardboard box covering the inside hole to the terminal box. But it could be simply that, and nothing more......

Maybe the P/O ran out of washers?

I like the zip tie! Better if it was black!

It is a bracket that holds up the cowl light wire in a loom that runs to the passenger side. There should be bracket on the passenger side bolted to the screw that comes through the hood welt, likewise another bracket on the driver side bolted to the screw that comes through the hood welt also. All three of these brackets have rubber grommets for the loom to keep the loom from eventually chafing down to a bare wire.

Yep, page 468 in the Service Bulletins confirms this. In a past restoration someone relocated the two outside “L-bracket loom holders” (what else can I call them??) from the cowl lamp mount area to the center. Plus added that real fine tie wrap. You guys are a great resource. Thanks!
