Rattle can paint will come off with a rag and gas if you get to it within 2 or 3 weeks. Of course the quicker you get to it the easier it comes off.

We bought a new Mustang in 1983 (and still have it) and when the car was maybe two or three months old a door-to-door salesman came to show us how his product would really shine the car. I told him "No Thanks" and he must have been hard of hearing because he rubbed a circle on the hood to show me how "good" his product was. I pushed his hand away from the car and told him to "Beat it". Well you can guess where on the car the paint started to fail.
A circle exactly where he rubbed it! Be careful what chemical you use, in my opinion.
