Default How to Remove Key Cylinder from Door: '34 pickup

Having trouble removing key cylinder from door on my '34 pickup. Is there a "special" way to do that? I have to remove remote control from door to adjust my door remote control. Can not open door from inside the pickup. Any assistance would be great appreciated.

On the door jamb side of the door there is an access hole for the set screw. That set screw secures the lock cyl but you need to get the door open. Are you able to see the latch striker from the inside?

On a 32 truck years ago I had a similar problem. I took one of those thin stainless scrapers (looks like a putty knife) and slid it into the jam from the inside and managed to get the striker moved enough to get the door open. Sounds like you may have a problem with the release mechanism in your latch?

I have found opening on side of door(with door opened) and found the set screw. Loosened the set screw and key cylinder came out. I have now removed the remote control. The "spring" on the remote control that is used for locking door and setting tension had fallen out and now I have to figure out how to reinstall "spring".

Thanks for all input!!!
