39 coupe stance
Hello all,
I have a bone stock 39 coupe that I would like to give a subtle lowering to. Is it possible to use a 2" lowered front spring (Posies) without having to worry about tie rod and drag link modifications? Any recommendations/methods are much appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

If you want to keep the 6.00x16 tires you may want to just reverse the spring eyes. I have pictures of a friend's 40 that he did this.... subtle... but nice. I can post when i get home.

Re: 39 coupe stance
I used a 4" Magnum drop axle on my 40 so I could keep the wishbone unsplit. most others require you to split the bones. You might not have to with a 2" but I would ask first before you buy it.

Re: 39 coupe stance
The 39 in my avatar has a reversed eye front spring. No other changes.

Re: 39 coupe stance
I have a Posies reverse eye spring and a 3" drop axle in my 38 std. Everything worked out I didn't split the bones and I have pan and frame rail clearance. It has the look that I wanted. Rear is reverse eye Posie nothing more...
The older I get the better I was!!! |
