Default 49 ford f1 vacuum

can't find a good place to hook up the windshield wiper vacuum hose. The only place i see is where the distributer vacuum hooks up. Where did the wiper vacuum hook up on the original ford 6 cyl engine? Can I put a "T" in the distributer line? Thanks Mike

Mine has a fitting on the intake manifold just under the carburetor facing the firewall.

Some used a vacuum booster off of the fuel pump in that time frame They still connected to the usual manifold air pressure fitting but the booster will keep it working when a person has a fair amount of throttle opening. If not the wipers tend to quit when you push down on the accelerator pedal then flap like hell when you let off.
