Default Coolant from bellhousing?

When pulling the engine out of a model A that's been sitting for a little while, I drained the antifreeze using the petcock on the lower radiator hose. It came out nice clean green. After I disconnected everything else and began to lift out the engine, as I lifted it out, when the trans started to incline downwards more antifreeze came out of a weep hole in the bottom of the front clutch housing. It came out as a pretty strong steady stream. Is this normal? Is there something I should be concerned about?

That is very odd. Have you noticed any loss of coolant before you pulled the engine? I can't think of any reason to find coolant there. Oil, sure, but not coolant.

If you left the drain valve open or removed the hoses when you pulled the engine, I suspect as you tilted the front up coolant ran out of the block and down along the clutch housing and dripped off the bell housing.

That would explain it.

I left the lower hose attached to the engine, and I don't think I closed the drain. But when it started dripping from the clutch, I gave it a good once over, and did not see anywhere else that was wet. The pan and block were bone dry.

The engine has ran before; it ran fine and ran long enough to get up to temp without any problems, but it has been sitting for some time. But the oil looks good and so did the antifreeze. I just hate to get it back into the truck and find out there's some huge problem.
