Default Flathead machine shop

Does anyone know of a machine shop that will do a flathead shortblock in the Houston, Texas area? I am looking for someone who does quality work at a somewhat reasonable price. Thanks

Ted's Machine Shop in Conroe. He does several a year, and including some for our local club members.

Vilas Motor Works in Bryan. TX does antique engine rebuilding including flatheads.
He rebuilt a 36' LB for me a few years ago. Phone 979 775-1633 and vilasmotorworks.homestead.com

Thanks a bunch for this Houston area Flathead info! I wasn't sure if there were any FHV8 builders left. Years & years ago I found out about an old timer who rebuilt and serviced flatheads, had 30+ years experience and truly loved doing it, and was super cheap! I'm pretty sure he is gone now, he was around 70 when he did my 59A.

Thanks for the info all! I have 59AB that i probably need to go through. Has sat for a long time but runs. I just notice that when it warms up I loose alot of oil pressure and probably could use a freshening up. I used to know of a place that did them but i think he is gone too. it was called Motor City Engines off of FM1960. His shop was wall to wall flattie blocks and parts.
