Need directions To mount mirror on fender57 FAIRLANE Victoria
Ready to mount mirror but need template or specific directions on exact placement to drill two holes for mirror. Appreciate any help, John L

you cant see anything with the mirror on the fender.why not the door.but to each their own as they say.

I don't have a template or dimensions.
Driver or passenger side? Do a google search for "1957 Ford Fairlane Victoria images" to see what the factory did (and others have done). But double check that you can actually see what & where you need to see before you do anything permanent. Where it will fit & work well also depends on how large the mirror head is. Next to the window posts may work on the driver's side but not the pass side, and I suspect is why Ford moved them to the fender when pass side mirrors became an option. In the photo of the pink car below the mirror had to be located approx 1 & 1/2 inch to the rear to be functional. Most of the '57/'58 full-sized car photos I've seen have the mirrors at the rear of the fender, not on the door Last edited by dmsfrr; 07-15-2018 at 11:43 AM. |
