I'm looking for a dark blue but not on the black side etc.
Maybe Lombard would be a better choice?

I always thought mine was Andalusite Blue, but after seeing a couple of the other photos, now I wonder if it's Washington Blue. It was already painted when I bought it. In the shade, it looks almost black. In full sun, it looks really blue.

Andalusite and Lombard are both quite dark but the color tone is different. Here is a link to my Workshop page. The first link on the page will let you view different color combinations on a Deluxe Roadster.

Andalusite Blue looks almost black in many color photos, particularly if the vehicle was photographed in the shade.

Lombard blue is a slightly lighter.

Washington Blue looks "blue" no matter what kind of light.

Personally, I have found all the '28 - '29 colors to be on the "dark side" as far as body colors go ( no yellows or light blues / greens ). About the lightest color are Chicle Drab or Dawn Grey Light ( for open cars ).

Finally in '30 & '31, you could get a Ford with a light-color body.

Patrick, I find the easiest way to post a full sized picture is to load it to "Photobucket", then generate the HTML code as in Shelly's Fordbarn, except this time instead of going to the second box down, go to the FOURTH box down and copy that code. Then PASTE that code in this message box.

There may be a better way on this site, but this is the way I know to post a picture here.

Patrick! Don't mail your photos; too expensive for the prints and postage.
I'll post your photos for you at 1/2 the price!
Nice bike, btw.

And my car, Lombard Blue, over black primer..

Tom Wessenburg says in reply this about Photobucket pictures..."Patrick, I find the easiest way to post a full sized picture is to load it to "Photobucket", then generate the HTML code as in Shelly's Fordbarn, except this time instead of going to the second box down, go to the FOURTH box down and copy that code. For the big pictures skip uses--> Dierct Link <--- in Photobucket. Second choice down. The copied Direct Link goes into the box provided with the yellow icon, BUT I blow away [delete] the HTTP:// part. Then 'paste' in the 'Dierct code' and push 'save'. Thumb nails would be HTML Thumbs, and Tom uses the HTML code, a bigger picture of a thumb..
