Headlight wiring question
I decided to buy/install Bratton's new reflectors and halogen bulbs.
When I first changed over, I connected the green/bk wire to the parking lights. When I tried the lights, the parking lights were 4x brighter than the low, or high beams. Checked wiring diagram and saw the yellow/bk wire goes to the parking lights. So I changed the wires around. Same results with the lights. What did I/didn't I do????????? Thanks in advance.....Loubob |

Re: Headlight wiring question
Mixing the wires up will just cause those bulbs to light at the wrong switch position. The voltage to the lights should be the same... Could you have a bad ground to both new halogen light bulb sockets? Try a jumper test wire to a good ground from the socket base....test the voltages with A multi meter.
Maybe your headlight pigtails are touching/ shorting Last edited by Mitch//pa; 07-05-2016 at 06:20 AM. |
