Default Oval Interior Light

I would like to know how to change the bulb in the oval interior light in the rear seat compartment in a 1930 Fordor Deluxe sedan? I don't want to damage it, but I need to open it to put in a 10 cp bulb. Your input would be most appreciated.
Many thanks!

There are 4 clips on the bezel (lens retainer) (2 on each side). It just pushes onto the base of the light that holds the bulb, and should pry out fairly easily using a knife blade or something similar.

Note that the bezel holding the glass is 2 pieces with partial soldering, so be careful not to pry between these 2 pieces instead of between the bezel and the base.

Randy, I noticed in your picture that you have a new oval light assembly and was wondering where you got it. I see the round ones in the books but not the oval.

Evan, just take your time and it will come apart for you.

Thanks, Tom

Gentlemen, I really do appreciate your responses to my question about the oval interior light bulb replacement. I was told they are not reproduced by anyone and an original is very expensive. I'll keep in mind that you have some, Don. I'll carefully attempt to remove the glass as instructed in your responses.
Regards,

Evan

Hi Guys!
I will second the appreciation. My Victoria has been needing work on its dome light and this is just the info I needed to get after it today.
Thank you all,
Geary
