Wood Steering Wheel
We walked through the Volo, IL "Museum" and consignment mart yesterday. At the very back of the vintage car building was a red Cabriolet that was, arguably "one of the best" in the world. I'm not arguing. But I did like the car's steering wheel, which was a bit smaller and more dished than a '31 wheel. That would help me a lot because it would make a little room between the wheel and the door panel for my leg to maneuver my foot onto and off the clutch pedal.
So, this post is to wonder if anyone knows the source of a custom steering wheel that will fit a keyed Model A steering shaft -- and be the required bit smaller to give my old leg more room? If so, comment here or send me a PM. Thanks. |

Re: Wood Steering Wheel
Try SpeedwayMotors, Juliano's, probably Obsolete Ford. Many diff size/finishes, steering wheels out there.

Re: Wood Steering Wheel
Ebay has a Model A/Model T "Fatman" steering wheel. This not a comment on your girth or lack thereof rather a brand name.
