Starter Button Color??

Gents,
My parts book calls for a starter switch, push button style, number.....
11 AS 11500. Can you help with color of bezel and push button please? And is the bezel stamped "START"? Application is 1941 Ford Comercial.

Yes they do, but they do not work. I have installed my original 1939 starter button with the chrome worn off and the plastic cracked, but it works. Wish I could say the same for Mac's shiny new button.

Thanks for the info. I checked and MAC's does not list the; 11 AS 11500. The closest they have is 11 A 11500. Which appears to be a "tan" button with the chrome bezel stamped "START". Any one have an old parts catalog that lists this number?

My three 1941 Ford parts books show the part number for a 1941 Commercial vehicle to be 11C-11500. The plastic button is black and the bezel is chrome.

In the Ford Bible the part number shown is 21C 11500 which is replaced by 6A 11500. This is for Commercial and Trucks 41 to 47.
The one in my 42 Commercial is black button and chrome bezel without the word START on bezel.

The 6A 11500 is all chrome including the button on the service part.
