I have a survivor hot rod that was put together in the mid '50s. I assume it was made from lots of junkyard parts, but don't know.

It looks like the builder jacked up the 'T' touring body and replaced everything he could with parts from a donor '39 Ford. It has hydraulic brakes, syncro floor shift 3 speed, and a V8-60 motor, and I assume rear end.

The car has not been changed since then, and was rebuilt in 1973. The restorer talked to me at the LA roadsters car show in the late 80's. I have changed nothing, considering myself a caretaker of the car.

The touring has three doors, and I am wondering what years the body came this way. I have tried looking it up, and from pics I found it seems that after a certain point the 4th door may have become optional. I would assume the emergency brake would have been moved about the same time?

The car is registered as a '22 and has a horseless carriage license plate.

From about the time the front door were added (1912) to 1925 for US cars no drivers door. 1926-27 was standard to have drivers (left) door. (we are talking open cars, not closed)
