Default Generator testing

Hey guys, so if I test the voltage coming from the regulator and its low, how can I see if the generator is sending the correct voltage to the regulator or not ?
Thanks ...

Hi, If you connect your voltmeter to either the "A" terminal or the "B" terminal on the voltage regulator and rev her up a bit for a minute or two you should have 13.5 to 14.2 volts on your meter. This reading will depend on battery condition and amps flowing. Regards, Kevin.

Generator output is depending on the voltage you aply to the Field set by the regulator.
If you measure battery voltage with the engine turned off and then with the engine at 1500rpm and you have an increased voltage the generator is probably working as it should and it´s the regulator that needs adjusting.
