Default My new t

I just got this 1919 tt the other day. I'm the "2nd" owner of it. It's been at the company I work for since it was new. It was parked approx 10 years ago in a shed, up on blocks, and the fuel and coolant drained. I got the chance to buy it and jumped. I had it towed home, added fuel, coolant, a battery, oil and attempted to start it. She fired and I drove her around the neighborhood a few times. My plans are to leave it as is and fix what needs fixed. Right now it needs some interior work, wiring work and tires and tubes.

If it has been there since new I would guess there would be photos of it there back in the day someplace. Looking forward to seeing what you have.

Looks great! I agree, just do what needs fixing and keep the patina.

Very nice & complete. Some items need work like the wiring & interior but it's a cool truck. Get the oil fill cap back on there. Noticed there's another T back there. Touring?

I'm getting ready to order a complete wiring kit this afternoon. I need to source a good pic of what the factory interior would look like so I can get to work on that seat. It's a phaeton I think. That's at the shop of the original owner.

Thank you sir. I'm really enjoying it. I've been cruising the neighborhood a lot. My daughter and I were cruising around and we had a blow out so its out of commission until my new tires show up. My girls are 4 and 6 and they absolutely love helping me work on my old vehicles

That is too cool! Glad it worked out for you to buy it! Keep us posted on the progress. What is the deal with the one behind it in the picture? It is amazing how easily they come back to life

One of our club members has a grand daughter that he is helping her rebuild a T. She is about 12 I think.

Today's youth are tomorrow's T drivers! Get them interested when they are young!

Besides, your girls will remember the time they spent with Dad.

I don't know too much about it. It's for sale for about what I paid for mine. Roughly 3k. It has a hard time starting. It had a quick restoration a few years back he said. If anyone interested I can get you in contact with the ownrr

That's the plan. They helped me build a tailgate for it the other day. They had a lot of fun trying to make the wood look old and beat up

I am in the same boat as you. Same deal on a 23 touring. My underneath is as a
show car no pits no rust anywhere all original black which I spray with blaster time
to time. I do wipe it with penitrol (cant spell that) with a rag it works well. I do not
want a trailer queen and all them "look but don't touch people" I look at it as this
thing been through the worst times and survived 'somehow'. They were made to be
driven to death driven to the great dust blackouts even into the 1950s. As a boy my
father in the 1954 hurricane in the gas station no power anywhere we the only one
pumping gas with a Model T with a flat belt to the pump on the gas pump. It ran until
the 5 thousand under ground tank ran out 24-7.. ther ya go...
