The National Museum of the US Army open Veterans Day, November 11, 2020.
Certainly will be a good place to visit.

Looks interesting and close to the Marine Corps Museum.
There was a great museum years ago at Aberdeen Proving Ground. I believe they closed it down and moved everything to the Kansas area. I wonder if it has been moved back east to be housed in this new museum?

For those in the Washington area you should visit the National Naval museum. A site to see.

Speaking of museums, don't forget the Navy's Submarine Museum in Groton, Connecticut, it is not far off I 95. You can tour the USS Nautilus SSN571 the world's first nuclear powered submarine. The exhibits are very interesting and cover subs from the beginning to present day. Did you know there was a submarine during the revolutionary war? Also admission and parking are free!

Interesting. I think I read the museum exhibits themselves were moved to Kansas City, it must be the WWI museum referred to. I know they had quite a collection. I know they had a vehicle used by Black Jack Pershing. I was fortunate enough to know someone in the know that took me on a personal tour a number of years ago. They may have closed their doors after 9/11. The base is on super lockdown now, hard for the average guy to go for a visit. Suppose thats the reason for the move.

The subs in Groton are very interesting as well. I couldnt believe how cramped they were!
I saw a bumper sticker one time in the Norfolk area that I thought was pretty funny.

'There are 2 types of boats, submarines and targets'
