Default Best source for a full gasket set?

Specifically for the 49-53 V8. The Dennis Carpenter kit seems to be priced well, but I think I've bought that kit for other projects and been disappointed by the quality of some of the gaskets.

Is there one place that has a full set that's good quality?

Thanks,
Nick

I would recommend getting a set made by the Best Gasket Company.

FelPro sets from OReilly's are about $62, and they'll ship to your nearest store for free.

Last year i bought a felpro set at auto zone for 50 bucks.
As long as you dont need big bore head gaskets the felpro set is real nice

Once you've use BEST gaskets sets you'll never go to another brand, the set has every little gasket for the whole engine, has the best rear seal you've every used, copper or graftite head gaskets, a little more expensive than other brand but forth it . Walt

I took the advice of Walt Dupont on this years ago and never regretted doing so. He builds enough engines to know what's best. If you are looking for cheap, then go cheap. If you want the best then go with Best Gasket Co.

Thanks, everyone. I'll order the kit from Van Pelt. I thought you had to order each gasket individually, but just noticed that he sells a full set right there at the top of his page.

Thanks again,
Nick
