Don't know if this has been posted yet. A gift from Henry Ford to Ezra Meeker a well known Oregon trail Pioneer.

It is what Mr. Meeker called the Oxmobile. He never got to use it as he passed away just before he was to make the trip, once again, back over the Oregon Trail, for, I think the third or fourth time in his life. Tried to find out what happened to it but no luck...not even the Oregon Trail Society knows what happened to it. Pluck |

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
Guess I might as well post my Light Delivery. It was one of the Chassis built in December 1927, in this case a Passenger Car chassis, sent to a outside coach company for what was called a Station Wagon Body; in this case, Kentucky Wagon Mfg. Company, Louisville, KY.

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
I don't always find "rare" body styles, especially rare factory body styles but lately I've managed to find some cool things.
This picture was taken in 1932 at the Boulder Canyon project first aid station. It shows a 1931 AA Ambulance (280-A). Note the deluxe bumper, radiator shell and wire wheels. Also of interest is that the fenders are painted body color and the fronts have fender lights mounted. There is also what appears to be an emergency light mounted on the driver's side A pillar. The horn is not Model A, perhaps a siren took the original's place? This ambulance is appropriately enough numbered "31." -Tim Last edited by WTSHNN; 01-12-2013 at 11:59 AM. |

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
Still working on my December 1930 AA project outside. I'm installing the good slightly used radiator that I got from Chuck Kuntz. Saved a bunch of money, thanks Chuck!!! Having a little trouble with a stiff upper hose. I had to hold my mouth just right but got it on. I didn't know Deb was taking pitchers.

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
I got the AA radiator shell sort of mocked up so I know that I have the correct radiator. When the weather gets right I'll remove and paint the shell black and install my new stainless steel radiator emblem. Can't rush this.

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
I saw this truck in Portland in 2004. The owner had driven it up from LA. His speed on I-5 was around 70 mph. It has a Donovan engine and Ryan overdrive.

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
There is a Yahoo group for Model A Panel owners. The list began back in the 1970's via postcards! We welcome any panel owners to join the group. There are some good photoe and helpful links there too.
