1964 f250
I have a '64 F250 that I would love to install a bedside tool compartment. Does anyone have one of these or know where I can get one? I find 67-72 versions on Ebay and other sites, but not the 64'-'66. Thanks!

Re: 1964 f250
Are you describing a side tool box or a full tool body?

Re: 1964 f250
Some of the camper specials had the box low on the side of the bed. I've seen them on Chevy Cheyenne pickups too so there were likely aftermarket one available as well.

Is this the style you're looking for?
According to the discussion here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/2...-in-bed-2.html, they were offered by Ford in 65 & 66 only.

Re: 1964 f250
I purchased a ‘72 F250 Camper Special back in 1974. It came with the tool box and an additional gas tank. If I remember correctly the switch for the saddle tanks was located on the floor of the cab between the seat and the driver’s door.
Sure wish I had it now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Re: 1964 f250
I think I have a spare '64-66 8' bed that has the storage box on the right side. I'll check it out tomorrow..

Re: 1964 f250
I have a 64 F100. I do see the tool boxes you speak of forsale from time to time. Be aware they can be very rusty and bent. So check them out as well as you possibly can.
You might check on Slick60s.com. Although FB has sort of taken them over. Last edited by y'sguy; 02-25-2019 at 09:42 PM. |
