Default 1940 Ford Pickup rim width??

Can anyone tell me for sure if 1940 Ford Pickups wheels were 4-1/2" wide or 4" wide like the passenger cars? Thanks

4 " wide. To my knowledge the 4 1/2 was not used until 1948 on the pickups.

On page 34 of the 1940 Ford Reference Manual it says "All Commercial Cars use 4-inch width rims." The 1/2 ton truck was considered to be a commercial car.
