Where to get some road draft tube?
I have the breather part at the engine, I just need to locate some of that flexible metal road draft tube, approx. 4-5 feet. Where can you buy that stuff?
I think its like 3/4" id diameter ..? |

Re: Where to get some road draft tube?
What kind of engine?
I'd suggest a homemade PCV system instead of a homemade draft tube. |

Re: Where to get some road draft tube?
That old flexible metal tube is getting harder to find. All I've seen recently was the large type for exhaust applications. You used to see a lot of bulk oil filler containers that had them and model As with accessory draft tube oil filler caps that had the flex pipe hanging out of the side. You might just have to keep scouring flea-pay to find the old accessories like that or find a funel for automatic transmission service like they used to make. All that stuf is mostly plastic now days. The only other thing I can think of would be for small engine exhaust extension or maybe some kind of conduit for electrical wire. Hot water heaters use flex pipe but it's not the same and the interlocked type.

Check some of the Model A on-line catalogs. Bratton's and Snyder's are two that I can think of and I'm sure there are others.

Check this out. I read somewhere that JC Whitney had some, didn't have time to search, though. Scroll down to bottom of page. Appears the ID starts at 0.5".

McMater Carr comes through again. I'm surprised at not only the different sizes available but also the different materials & thicknesses.
